Greg Colgan

Greg is the chief executive of Dundee City Council. He served as the local executive director of corporate Service for three years prior to taking the helm, a post with a wide-ranging remit including the overall strategic and operational responsibility for corporate finance, customer services & IT, HR & business support, and democratic and legal services.

Before that Greg held other positions within the local authority including head of customer services and IT, head of corporate debt and welfare reform and finance, and corporate services manager (housing).

Having trained as an accountant with a global manufacturing and engineering organization, Greg is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Housing, and also the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE).
