Uriel Medina is an experienced educator currently serving as an English Language Development Teacher at Highlands Community Charter and Technical Schools since March 2019. Previously, Uriel worked as an Administrative Assistant and Tutor for the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) at Berkeley City College from June 2013 to July 2016. Uriel holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Davis (2016-2018) and an Associate of Arts degree in Sociology from Berkeley City College (2013-2016).

Highlands Community Charter School believes it is "Never Too Late to Graduate!" We provide adult high school completion along with career training to students who are 22 years of age or older, and who haven't yet earned their U.S. High School Diploma. Highlands Community Charter School also provides elementary English Language Development for adults who are learning English as a Second Language (ESL), and helps these students to learn other basic skills, to prepare them towards earning a U.S. diploma and entering the U.S. workforce.
