Nickie Case has a wide range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Nickie started their career in 2006 as a Claims Specialist at CIGNA Healthcare. In 2008, they worked as a Medicare Billing Representative at Community Health Systems. Nickie then joined Valley Head Clinic, LLC in 2007 as a Practice Manager, a role they held until 2014. During their time there, they also completed an internship at Community Health Systems in 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as an Office Manager at Scottsboro Diagnostic Center, LLC. Lastly, they joined Highlands Medical Center in 2014 and held various roles including Special Projects and ultimately became the Director of Patient Financial Services.
Nickie Case, RHIA, BSHIM has a Bachelor's degree in Health Information/Medical Records Administration/Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which was obtained from 2012 to 2014. They also have an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from Northeast Alabama Community College, completed between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, they graduated from Pisgah High School in 1999 with a high school diploma in General Studies. In 2014, they obtained the certification of Registered Health Information Administrator from AHIMA.

Highlands Medical Center is a not-for-profit 170-bed healthcare facility located in Scottsboro, Alabama. As the sole healthcare facility in Jackson County, we provide quality and innovative healthcare to our community. Highlands Medical Center is a component of the Jackson County Health Care Authority. The JCHCA also includes Highlands Health and Rehab, Cumberland Health and Rehab and two new Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine facilities. North Jackson Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine was opened on October 7, 2013, and Scottsboro Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine will open in November 2013.
