Mercedes Pozuelo Rubio PhD

Mercedes Pozuelo Rubio PhD has worked in a variety of roles since 1995. Mercedes began as a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Córdoba in 1995. In 1997, they were awarded a Research Fellowship at the Medical Research Council (MRC) and Protein Phosphorylation Unit (PPU). Mercedes then went on to receive a Postdoctoral Researcher “Mari Curie Fellow” position at the MRC and PPU in 1999. From 2003 to 2005, they were a Senior Researcher at the Medical Research Council - DSTT (Pharma industry - Division of Signal Transduction Therapy). Following this, they were the Senior Manager of Research and Development at the Andalusian Center for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER) from 2005 to 2011. From 2011 to 2020, they were the CMC Lead and CMC Project Manager at Bioncotech Therapeutics. Currently, they are the CMC Director at Highlight Therapeutics SL.

Mercedes Pozuelo Rubio PhD has a comprehensive education history. Mercedes has completed a Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Córdoba in Spain, followed by a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same university. Mercedes has also completed a Master in Clinical Trials from the University of Sevilla in Spain, a Master in Business Administration from EUDE, and a Biotech Management Course from Genoma España in Spain. Additionally, they have completed a PMI Project Management course from MERES formation, a Coaching: Strategic Professional Development course from INN Formation, and an ISO9001 course.
