Michael Gillmeister

Michael Gillmeister has a diverse work experience in the field of science. Michael is currently working as a Principal Scientist and CMC Lead at REGENXBIO Inc. Michael previously served as a Senior Scientist at Lonza from 2015 to 2018 and as a Staff Scientist at Life Technologies from 2009 to 2015. Before that, they worked as a Biological Science Lab Technician at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the VA Medical Center from 2006 to 2009. Michael also gained experience as a PhD Candidate and Graduate Student at Johns Hopkins University, where they worked as a Teaching Assistant from 2002 to 2007 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Chemical Engineering Department. Additionally, they worked as a Summer Undergraduate Intern at Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2003.

Michael Gillmeister has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained in 2004. Michael then pursued a PhD in Biomolecular Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University, completing it in 2009. In 2018, they obtained a Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
