Zuzana Jirakova Trnkova

Zuzana Jirakova Trnkova has extensive experience in the field of clinical research and development. Zuzana is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Highlight Therapeutics SL and also works as a Clinical Development Consultant at Bexon Clinical Consulting, LLC. In 2022, they served as a Member of the Medical Advisory Board at Enterome. Prior to these roles, Zuzana held various positions at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, including Vice President Clinical and Medical Affairs Radiology from 2020 to 2023. Zuzana also worked at BioNTech SE as Vice President Clinical Research and Development from 2017 to 2020, where they were responsible for clinical development and regulatory strategy. Before that, they held leadership positions at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, focusing on clinical pharmacology oncology. Zuzana started their career as a Sales Representative at Merck Sharp & Dohme and later worked as a Clinical Lead Monitor. Zuzana Jirakova Trnkova began their education in 1992 at Charles University, where they pursued a degree in General Medicine. Zuzana successfully completed their studies in 1998 and obtained the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD). Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same university and enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Immunology and Molecular Biology in 1998. Their Ph.D. studies lasted until 2009, and they were awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree for their research in the field of Immunology and Molecular Biology.
