Krystal Welch

Director, Cohort Learning Communities at Highline College

Krystal Welch has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Krystal began their career in 1998 as a Telecounseling Coordinator at Washington State University. Krystal then worked as an Enrollment Counselor at California State University - East Bay from 2000 to 2001. In 2002, they joined the University of Phoenix as an Academic Advisor before transitioning to Green River Community College as an Educational Planner from 2002 to 2007. Krystal also worked at Tacoma Community College Foundation as an Instructor/Educational Planner from 2007 to 2013.

In 2012, Krystal became a Triple Diamond Distributor for ItWorks! Global at Welch Wraps-It Works, where they helped people improve their skin tone and established financial prosperity. In 2017, they joined Monat Global as a Market Mentor.

Krystal'smost recent work experience is at Highline College, where they held various roles. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Program Manager, Cohort Learning Communities. Currently, they serve as the Director, Cohort Learning Communities, coordinating the Umoja black scholars program to enhance the retention and graduation rates of Black students.

Krystal Welch has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and Psychology, which they earned from Washington State University in 1998. Krystal later obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the same university in 2000.
