Andrew Benitez

Andrew Benitez, Ed.L.D., serves as the Executive Director of Secondary Design and Pathways for Highline Public Schools since July 2023. Previously, Benitez held the position of Director of Program at Teaching Lab from October 2022 to July 2023. Experience also includes a role as a Doctoral Resident in Strategic Initiatives at Dallas Independent School District from July 2021 to May 2022, and as a Superintendent Fellow at Salem Public Schools from September 2020 to May 2021. In addition, Benitez was a Doctoral Summer Fellow at the Texas Education Agency in May 2020 and co-founded El Paso Leadership Academy, serving as Principal from August 2014 to June 2019. Benitez earned a Bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard University and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
