Angelica M. Alvarez

School Board President at Highline Public Schools

Angelica M. Alvarez has extensive experience in educational leadership and community engagement, currently serving as the Director of Student & Family Centered Improvement Initiatives at Puget Sound ESD since June 2017, alongside prior roles as Student, Family, & Community Engagement Manager and Postsecondary Readiness Student & Family Engagement Manager. Alvarez has been active in the education sector since December 2009 as School Board President for Highline Public Schools and has also held board positions at King County Library System and YMCA of Greater Seattle. Previous experience includes serving as a PreK-3rd Grade System Coach at Puget Sound ESD and Statewide Call Center Manager at Child Care Resources. Alvarez holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Eastern Washington University, a P-3 Executive Leadership Certificate from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Education from Goddard College.
