Lauren McAlister

Lauren McAlister, MSAL, currently serves as the Director of Budget for Highline Public Schools, where responsibilities include directing the preparation of a $420 million general budget and overseeing federal and state financial reporting. With a strong analytical background, Lauren has produced various financial reports and tools to enhance decision-making, while also managing staffing levels for over 3,000 positions. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Budget Manager and Budget and Program Analyst at Highline Public Schools, as well as Operations Coordinator at the University of Washington. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Administration and Leadership from Seattle University, a Certificate in Educational Finance from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science from Seattle University.
