Miriam Cook

Miriam Cook is a skilled educator with extensive experience in social studies and language instruction. Currently serving as a Dual Language Social Studies Teacher at Highline Public Schools since August 2022, Miriam previously taught social studies at Tamalpais High School from August 2018 to June 2022. Experience as an English Teaching Assistant with COMEXUS Fulbright-García Robles included teaching informal conversation classes and supporting English instruction. Additional roles in education and community service encompassed mentoring high school students as an AmeriCorps Instructor, conducting historical research at Mount Rainier National Park, and providing Spanish tutoring at the University of Puget Sound. Miriam holds a Master of Education in Social Science Teacher Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Spanish from the University of Puget Sound, complemented by a study period at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso.
