Carla Wainwright

Carla Wainwright has a diverse range of work experience. Carla started working at Elmhurst Elementary School in 1983, where they held the positions of Special Educator of students with low incidence disabilities and Exceptional Children's Contact. Carla remained with the school until December 2012. In 2010, Carla joined Highmark Companies as an Educational Consultant, a role they held until July 2014. Carla then took on the position of Education Specialist Coordinator, which lasted until they became the Director of Educational Services in December 2015.

Carla Wainwright pursued their education at East Carolina University in two separate periods. Carla first enrolled from 1979 to 1983, during which they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education with a focus on Low Incidence Populations. Following this, they returned to the same institution in 2006 and completed a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) with a specialization in Special Education, specifically focusing on Low Incidence Disabilities.
