Michael J. Bennett

Michael J. Bennett is executive vice president, chief strategy and transformation officer for Highmark Health.

Mr. Bennett joined Highmark Health in 2016 to serve as a key leader in driving the organization's mission to deliver comprehensive, affordable, high-quality health care services to its customers and the communities it serves. Bennett leads the organization's transformation initiatives, overseeing enterprise-wide strategy, the transformation office, corporate development and investments, analytics and innovation.

Mr. Bennett previously worked at Cleveland Clinic, where he served since 2013 as executive director responsible for management of the planning, growth, go-to-market, and strategic intelligence functions for the strategy office. Prior to that, he served as a principal in McKinsey & Company's payor/provider practice in Cleveland, specializing in health care strategy and organizational transformation, where he introduced, developed and managed long-term executive relationships with multiple clients, including large hospital chains, large insurers, academic medical centers and several regional not-for-profit hospital chains.

Mr. Bennett earned a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
