Alex Liberman

Alex Liberman has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and research fields. They are currently working as an Associate Director of Clinical Science at HighTide Therapeutics since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at AnaptysBio as a Senior Clinical Scientist from September 2020 to June 2021. From 2015 to 2020, Alex worked at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, holding various roles including Principal Clinical Scientist, Senior Clinical Scientist, and Clinical Scientist. They also worked as a Medical Writer at Intercept Pharmaceuticals. Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Alex gained research experience at UC San Diego as a Graduate Researcher and Undergraduate Researcher, focusing on the development and characterization of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems for improved chemotherapy and contrast ultrasound imaging for tumor detection.

Alex Liberman received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego in 2010. They then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Sciences and Engineering from the same university, completing their studies in 2014.
