James Hyman

Board Member at Highview Capital

James brings over 30 years of experience in business leadership as both CEO and Independent Director, driving performance improvement. He has delivered shareholder value as CEO of five companies and has served as a Board member on 10 public and private companies, with particular focus on middle-market business services companies across a range of industries.

James currently serves on the Board of Watterson, a Highview portfolio company since 2021.

Previously, James served as CEO of several sponsor-owned companies: Corizon Health, Citizens Parking, Community Education Centers and TestAmerica. He was also Chairman & CEO of NYSE-traded Cornell Companies. In earlier roles, James has had responsibilities for operations, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and restructuring businesses across multiple industries in the US and Europe, and at leading companies such as GE Capital, McKinsey, JPMorgan and Starwood Hotels. Since 2000, James has served as Chairman of the Mega-Cities Project, an international not-for-profit focused on urban development issues.

James holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard and an AB in Philosophy with Honors from the University of Chicago.
