Russell Brooks

Russell Brooks is a seasoned professional in data and information governance, currently serving as the Principal Data and Information Governance Manager at National Highways since January 2017. In this role, Russell leads governance efforts for the SMP alliance. Previously, as Project Manager for HS2 Phase 2A, Russell facilitated National Highways' collaboration with HS2 Ltd, focusing on stakeholder engagement and risk mitigation. Russell has also held key positions in asset management, including Senior Advisor for Asset Management at Highways England, where responsibilities included strategy development and stakeholder management, and Technical Data Manager, where solutions were implemented for complex user data requirements. Prior experience includes a role as an Asset Management Specialist at Waterman Aspen and various companies from 2005 to 2016.
