Kent Leong CEng MIChemE has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering field. Kent currently holds the position of Engineering Manager, Ventures at HiiROC, where they are involved in the development of a new process for low-cost, zero CO2 emission hydrogen production. Prior to this, Kent worked at Wood as a Principal (Lead) Process Engineer, where they gained experience in various projects including CSL Easington / Rough Brownfield Modifications, Saudi Aramco Safaniyah & Manifa pre-FEED / FEED, and ADNOC TAZIZ pre-FEED. Before joining Wood, Kent worked at Atkins in multiple roles including Senior Process Engineer / Project Manager in the nuclear sector, Project Manager / Route Section Delivery Manager in the rail industry, and Senior Process Engineer in the oil & gas sector. Kent also has experience as a Field Engineer, Well Services - Coiled Tubing at Schlumberger, and as a Process Engineer at Foster Wheeler UK. In addition, Kent worked as a Researcher at Newcastle University, where they contributed to a project focused on the production of biodiesel from oil-producing algae using a bioreactor.

Kent Leong obtained their Masters of Engineering (hons) in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London from 2004 to 2008.
