Cynthia Zane has had a distinguished career in the field of education and academia. Cynthia began their career in 1979 at Saint Xavier University, where they served as an Associate Professor of Nursing and Assistant Dean of Continuing Studies until 1991. Cynthia then moved on to the University of Detroit Mercy, where they held the position of Dean of the College of Health Professions and the McAuley School of Nursing from 1991 until 2001. In 2001, they joined the College of Mount St. Joseph as the Chief Academic Officer, a role they held until 2006. In that same year, Zane became the President of Hilbert College, a position they held until they became President Emeritus in September 2018.
Cynthia Zane obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Saint Xavier University in 1978. Cynthia later pursued a Master's degree in Nursing from RUSH University, completing it in 1979. Cynthia's education journey continued as they pursued an Ed D degree in Education from Northern Illinois University, which they completed in 1988.
