Alan Pugh

Alan is head of the construction and engineering team and a partner. He advises on contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering projects.

Alan joined the firm as a trainee, qualified into the construction team and became a partner in 2007 and became of the team in 2015. Alan is a recognised in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners as a leading person in his field of expertise. Alan works for a wide spectrum of clients in the construction and engineering sectors including industrial, manufacturing, nuclear, development, transport, retail, energy, renewables, oil and gas.

Alan's work covers day to day to project advice, drafting and negotiating construction documentation and advice in relation to dispute avoidance and dispute resolution. Alan regularly advices in relation to the following standard form contracts JCT, NEC, IMechE (MF/1), FIDIC, LOGIC, ICC and IChemE and bespoke forms.
