Richard Lyons

Richard recently joined the firm in Hong Kong as a Construction team partner. In addition to being a qualified lawyer, he is also a chartered civil engineer and has previously worked for a large main contractor and employer.

Before joining Hill Dickinson, Richard was head of legal for one of the Middle East’s largest contractors where he managed a team dealing with both noncontentious matters and large-value civil law Construction arbitration disputes.

Before spending time as an in-house lawyer, Richard was in private practice in Hong Kong with international law firms. Richard’s work primarily involved advising on contractual and legal matters and in particular construction dispute avoidance. Richard has contributed to Emden’s Construction Law Hong Kong which is described as, ‘the only leading resource of authoritative and detailed analysis on Hong Kong Construction law’.
