Heather Hursey Urban

Heather Hursey Urban is an experienced education professional with a focus on reading and math intervention, currently serving as a Reading and Math Interventionist for Middletown Public School District since September 2020. With a long-standing role as a Reading Interventionist at HILL for Literacy and the University of Connecticut since 2014 and 2012 respectively, Heather has demonstrated expertise in supporting students' literacy development. Previous positions include instructional assistant at St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School, school counselor at Talcott Mountain Academy, and counseling roles at The Metropolitan Learning Center and Plainville High School. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from St. Joseph College and Charter Oak State College, along with a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Joseph College.
