David Hughes

David Hughes has extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations focused on agriculture, food technology, and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as Chair of the Governance Group at the New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre and Chair of the Board at BPN Ltd, David also holds directorships at Hill Labs and Miruku. Previous positions include Chair of Science New Zealand and Co-Chair of the Challenge Partners' Group for the New Zealand Biological Heritage National Science Challenge. David's academic background includes a Diploma in Applied Statistics from Massey University and additional qualifications in company direction and marketing strategy from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand and INSEAD, respectively.
