Misty Acosta

Misty Acosta has gained valuable experience in the healthcare industry through various roles. Most recently, they worked as a Health Navigator at Hill Physicians Medical Group starting in 2022. Prior to that, Misty worked as a COVID-19 Contact Tracer/Case Investigator for Heluna Health from December 2020 to March 2022. In this role, they conducted interviews with over 800 COVID-19 cases and utilized motivational interviewing techniques to identify contacts. Additionally, Misty has experience as a self-employed Health Coach from January 2018 to March 2021.

Misty Acosta completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a certification as a Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2017 and 2018, specializing in Integrative Health Coaching. In 2005 to 2009, Misty Acosta studied at Body Mind College and became a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, focusing on Holistic Health. Misty also earned an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology from MiraCosta College in 2003 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Misty Acosta has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they completed the Harassment Prevention for California course from Think HR PR and the Social and Behavioral Research - Basic/Refresher course from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY. In 2020, they completed the Making Contact: A Training for COVID-19 Contact Tracers course from the National Coalition of STD Directors.
