Chiara Dobrovolny, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning several prestigious organizations. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at the European Space Agency. In 2004, they joined Worcester Polytechnic Institute as a Graduate Research Assistant and later took on the roles of Adjunct Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher. From 2010 to 2019, Chiara worked at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, starting as a Postdoctoral Researcher and eventually becoming an Associate Research Scientist. Since 2019, they have served as a Graduate Committee Faculty Member at Texas A&M University. Their most recent position is as the Vice President of Engineering at Hill & Smith Inc., which they started in April 2023.
Chiara Dobrovolny, Ph.D. pursued their education in the field of engineering. Chiara attained a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Chiara furthered their studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Civil Engineering.
