Tao Xia

Tao Xia has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. They started their career as an Interpreter and Auditor Trainee at the National Audit Office of China in 1994. They later served as a Cost Accountant at the Baldwin plant in Wisconsin for Donaldson Company, Inc. In subsequent roles at Donaldson Company, Inc, Tao Xia held positions such as Controller, Industrial Group, where they led various financial initiatives and supported M&A evaluations. They then worked at Valspar as a Senior Finance Manager, contributing to restructuring efforts and providing advisory on M&A. Before joining H.B. Fuller, Tao Xia was the VP of Corporate Strategy & Business Development at Quayside Publishing Group. At H.B. Fuller, they held positions as Finance Business Partner for Construction Products and Finance Business Partner for Specialty Converting. Following this, Tao Xia served as the Financial Controller at Schwing America, overseeing the Treasury function. In 2021, they became the VP of Finance for HART at Techtronic Industries - TTI. The newest addition to their work experience includes being a Private Investor before becoming the Chief Financial Officer at Hill & Smith Inc. starting in February 2023.

Tao Xia holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, completed in 2001. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Philosophy in Accounting Program from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, finishing in 1999. Their earlier education includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature from Wuhan University, completed in 1994.
