Shari Merrill

Shari Merrill has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shari is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Hillel International, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Impact Officer at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington from 2018 to 2022, where they were responsible for strategic planning, community engagement, and measurement and evaluation. Before that, Shari held roles at Management Concepts Inc. from 2015 to 2018, including Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, Executive Director of Product Management, and Director of Product and Market Research. Shari also worked at SHRM as a Manager of Product Management from 2013 to 2015 and at CEB, where they held positions as Associate Director, Senior Analyst, and Analyst in Product Management and Executive Advisory. Additionally, Shari has previous experience at Ashley Harvey Associates, Resource Europe, Williams and Connolly, LLP, and the Office of Senator John F. Kerry and the Labour Party Headquarters and Office of Parjmit Dhanda, MP, where they served as a Staff Assistant (Intern).

Shari Merrill has a strong educational background in International Relations. Shari obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University in 2005, with a focus on International Relations and History. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Longmeadow High School between 1997 and 2001.

To further enhance their knowledge in the field of International Relations, Shari pursued a Master of Science degree at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2006 to 2007. This program specialized in the study of International Relations.

In addition to their formal education, Shari Merrill has also obtained certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2014, they earned the 'Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification' from HRCI. Furthermore, in 2015, they obtained the 'SHRM-SCP' certification from SHRM.
