Raman Rao

Raman Rao has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Raman has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Hilleman Laboratories Singapore Pte Ltd since February 2020. Prior to that, they were the Vice President at Takeda from April 2014 to January 2020. Raman also held the position of HEAD EXTERNAL R&D, ASIA PAC at Sanofi Pasteur from August 2011 to April 2014. Raman was the VP R&D at Shantha, a subsidiary of Sanofi, from September 2009 to July 2011, where they managed a team of over 150 people and reported to the board. Before that, they served as the VP Scientific and Medical Affairs at Merieux Alliance and Shantha from January 2008 to September 2009. Raman started their career at Shantha Biotechnics Limited, Part of Sanofi Aventis Group, where they held the position of Head Clinical Research and Scientific Affairs from May 2003 to December 2007.

Raman Rao completed their Class 10 education from St Vincents School, spanning from 1977 to 1986. Later, they pursued an MD degree in the Infectious Disease Residency Program at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research from 1997 to 2001.
