Richard Hwang

Richard Hwang is a finance professional with extensive experience in investment and financial analysis across various sectors. Currently serving as Vice President on the Investment Team at Hillhouse since 2019, Richard specializes in public markets and growth equity investing in the APAC and U.S. regions. Previously, Richard was a Director at Financeit, a consumer loan originations platform, and held roles as a Public Equities Investment Analyst at PointState Capital LP and a Private Equity Associate at Goldman Sachs. Richard began a career in investment banking at Evercore, focusing on M&A, buyouts, and debt restructurings. Richard holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
