Sheila Rios

Sheila Rios is currently the Dean of Associate in Science and Technical Programs at Hillsborough Community College. Prior to their current position, they served as the Dean of Business, Technology, Career and Workforce Education at the College of Central Florida from January 2015 to December 2016. Before their time at the College of Central Florida, Sheila was the Director of Latino Affairs at Wright State University from January 2014 to December 2015. In their role as Director, Sheila was responsible for initiatives to support student success, recruiting initiatives for the Latino community, facilitating the identification and application for grants related to work focused on Latino Affairs in Higher Education, data reporting and analysis, developing workshops and conferences, assisting with the preparation of a strategic plan for the office, and managing the office budget.

Sheila Rios has a Doctor of Education from Florida Southern College in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. Sheila also has a Master of Science in Management from Stony Brook University, with Advanced Graduate Certificates in Healthcare Administration and Information Systems Management. Finally, they have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Stony Brook University.

Sheila Rios reports to Ginger Clark, Ybor City Campus President. They work with Keith Berry - Dean of Academic Affairs, David Ross - Dean of Student Services.
