Katie Wright serves as the first postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Commerce and Freedom at Hillsdale College since July 2025, specializing in the use of market-based solutions to address environmental challenges, particularly in minimizing transaction costs within water markets. Prior to this role, Katie was a research fellow at PERC from May 2023 to April 2025, focusing on natural resource policy analysis. Katie's earlier experience includes working as a graduate research assistant at Arizona State University from June 2019 to April 2023, assisting Drs. Abigail York and Bryan Leonard. Katie's career began at Hillsdale College as a student security manager and included a role as an administrative assistant at Autumn Ridge Church, where responsibilities encompassed financial tasks and event organization. Katie holds a PhD in Sustainability from Arizona State University (2018-2023) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hillsdale College (2014-2018).
