Carr Stokes has extensive experience in the financial industry, starting with their role as a Financial Consultant at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. in 2004. During their time there, they earned series 7, 66, and AAMS designations, built a 5-million-dollar book, and brought in over 100 new accounts. Carr also conducted bond market education seminars.

In 2005, Carr joined Advisors Asset Management, Inc. as a First Vice President, Investments. In this role, they provided advisory services to advisors working with RIA's and FA's, constructing and supporting fixed income and structured investment portfolios. Carr also led new hire training and mentoring programs, successfully coaching a team member to become a top 10 production leader.

In 2019, Carr transitioned to Income Solution Partners, where they became a Partner. Carr focused on institutional fixed income trading and management, aiming to form strategic partnerships with RIA's and Advisors. Their responsibilities included analyzing portfolios, ensuring performance aligns with objectives, and providing education and support to advisors in comprehensive portfolio management.

Currently, Carr holds the position of Senior Vice-President Institutional Sales at Hilltop Securities Inc., a role they started in December 2021.

Carr Stokes pursued their education in a chronological order. Carr first attended Texas Tech University from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Texas Tech University. Continuing their educational journey, Carr then enrolled at Universidad de Salamanca in 2000 for Spanish language studies. Afterward, they attended Texas A&M International University from 2001 to 2004, where they pursued an MBA degree in International Business.
