Kathleen Katt MD has a long and varied work experience. Kathleen began their career in 1987 at Intermountain Healthcare as a Snowbird Ski Area. In 2009, they joined the John Burns School of Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor. In 2010, they became the Assistant Director of Hilo Medical Center ED at the Hawaii Emergency Physician Association. In 2012, they assumed the role of Vice Chief of Staff and Chair of the Quality of Medical Care Committee at Hilo Medical Center. In 2015, they became the Medical Director and Post Chiefess of Staff at Hilo Medical Center and the VP of the Big Island at Hawaii Emergency Physicians.

Kathleen Katt MD obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Political Science and Government from the University of Southern California between 1977 and 1981. Kathleen then went on to obtain their Medical Doctor degree from the University of Arizona between 1981 and 1985. Finally, they completed their Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona between 1992 and 1995.
