Donato Clausi

Donato Clausi has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Intern at LMS International in 2004. Donato then worked as a Project Engineer at LMS International - Engineering Services in 2005, before joining K.U. Leuven as a Research Engineer in 2006. At K.U. Leuven, they focused on wafer-level integration of SMA wires to microsystems and the development of micro actuators. In 2012, Clausi joined Hilti Group as a Research Engineer Mechatronics, and later moved up to the position of Project Manager. Donato then served as a Team Lead Mechatronics from 2015 to 2017, and as an R&D Group Manager from 2017 to 2018. In their R&D Group Manager role, Clausi led the Advanced Mechatronics team in Corporate Research & Technology, overseeing various responsibilities including coaching engineers and project managers, defining roadmaps and business targets, and collaborating with different functions across the organization. From 2018 to 2023, Clausi held the position of Global Project Leader (TTM PL) at Hilti Group, where they managed cross-functional teams and led Time-to-Money projects. In addition, they served as the Product Supply Manager in these projects. Currently, Clausi serves as the Head of Electronics and Measuring Technology at Hilti Group, leading a team and defining the technology strategy for their field of responsibility.

Donato Clausi holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Università della Calabria. Donato also pursued a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven.
