Stephan Kretschmer

Stephan Kretschmer is an experienced professional in the chemical industry with a robust background in quality management and research and development. Currently serving as the Head of Quality Plant 6 at Hilti Group since January 2015, Kretschmer has held various managerial roles, including Group Manager for Quality & Resin Synthesis and Development & Product Care Chemical Anchors. Prior to joining Hilti Group, Kretschmer worked at INVISTA as the Director of Quality & Research Europe and R&D Manager Europe, where responsibilities included budget management and oversight of laboratories and pilot plants. Earlier experience includes positions as an R&D Chemist at KoSa GmbH & Co. KG and GLP Study Director at PTRL Europe GmbH. Kretschmer holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Chemistry and Toxicology and a Diplom in Chemistry from Ulm University, along with early training as a chemical laboratory technician at Hoechst AG.
