Oleksiy Burchevskyy

Oleksiy Burchevskyy has a diverse work experience spanning over various industries and roles. Oleksiy is currently serving as the Head of Legal at Hily - Dating App, where they lead a team of four lawyers. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2020, they worked at Kinstellar as the Head of Aviation Sector, where they initiated the establishment of the Aviation Sector and was responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key sector clients across multiple jurisdictions. Oleksiy also served as a Knowledge Lawyer, promoting knowledge sharing culture and managing regional subscriptions to legal and business information resources.

Before joining Kinstellar, Oleksiy worked as a Legal Counsel at Wizz Ukraine Airlines, where they provided legal support for the start-up low-cost airline and advised senior management on compliance issues. Oleksiy also played a key role in the development of Ukrainian legislation in the aviation sector.

Earlier in their career, Oleksiy worked as a Legal Manager at Wizz Air Hungary Airlines and gained research experience as a Research Assistant at McGill University and the University of Massachusetts. Oleksiy also pursued internships at the Massachusetts Office of Dispute Resolution and Dorchester District Court, gaining experience in mediation and legal dispute resolution.

Oleksiy Burchevskyy obtained various degrees and certifications throughout their education history. Oleksiy completed a course on the Basics of Product IT Business at Genesis Business School in 2021. From 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Air Law at McGill University, Institute of Air and Space Law. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Dispute Resolution from UMass Boston between 2005 and 2007. Oleksiy started their educational journey by earning a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree, along with a Specialist Diploma, in Law from Kyiv State Maritime Academy, which they completed from 2000 to 2005.

In addition to their degrees, Oleksiy Burchevskyy holds several certifications. Oleksiy completed the Developing SQL Databases certification from Sololearn in April 2021. In 2015, they became a member of the EUROPEAN AIR LAW ASSOCIATION. Oleksiy was admitted to the Kyiv City Bar in July 2011 after obtaining the Admission to the Bar certification. In 2010, they earned the Labor Protection and Occupational Safety Specialist certification from Profi Centr LLC. Oleksiy also holds the Mediator certification from UMass Boston, which they obtained in May 2006. Lastly, they participated in the Fulbright Program in English for Graduate Studies at the University of Pennsylvania in August 2005.
