Deepapriya Velumani

Deepapriya Velumani is an accomplished professional in the field of food science and nutrition, currently serving as Head of the Global Research Center at Himalaya Wellness Company since January 2024. With extensive experience in innovation and product development, Deepapriya held the position of Global Innovation Director at GSK Consumer Healthcare from January 2020 to May 2024, where responsibilities included leading scientific collaborations and innovation research studies for VMS brands across the APAC region. Prior to this, Deepapriya worked as Principal Scientist for Global Innovation at GSK Asia Pacific, focusing on new product development in the Nutrition and Digestive Health category. Additional roles include Regional Technical Services Lead at Mead Johnson Nutrition, Senior Food Scientist at Kellogg Asia Pacific, Product Research Manager at Procter & Gamble, and various positions in regulatory affairs and sensory analysis at Denis Freres Pte Ltd, Givaudan, and Kemin Asia Pacific. Deepapriya holds a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology from Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women.
