Alana Lerer

Alana Lerer, MPH, currently serves as the Senior Government Relations Manager at HIMSS, a position held since September 2017, where responsibilities have included advancing government relations initiatives. Prior experience includes leading program evaluation at the Minneapolis Health Department, where evaluation of a healthy beverage campaign was conducted, and serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Alana's background also includes roles that involved managing immunization data at the Minnesota Department of Health, coordinating scientific programs at the Society for Women's Health Research, and engaging in health promotion policy analysis at the Center for Science in the Public Interest. Alana holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Muhlenberg College.
