Gia Spezia has a diverse work experience in the arts and auction industry. Gia started their career as a Gallery Assistant at Belloc-Lowndes Fine Art in 2007. In 2008, they joined Hindman Auctions and initially worked as a Client Services representative. Later, they took on the role of Account Executive. From 2010 to 2013, Gia served as the Exhibitions and Inventory Control Manager at Hindman Auctions, before being promoted to the position of Director, Interiors Auctions. Most recently, they have been working as the Marketing Director at Hindman Auctions since September 2019.

Gia Spezia holds a Master of Arts Management degree in Visual Art from Columbia College Chicago, which they completed from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, Gia has obtained certifications in Applied Project Management from Northwestern University School of Professional Studies in June 2020 and is a Licensed Auctioneer in the State of Illinois, which they acquired in 2014.
