Eric Klimes

Eric Klimes is the current Chief Executive Officer at Hinds Hospice. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Contracting at Capital Hospice from April 2001 to January 2004. In this role, they were responsible for negotiating complex, competitive, contractual relationships with providers per prescribed guidelines for hospice subcontractors, specifically hospitals, physicians, pharmacy, allied and ancillary providers. Eric was also responsible for understanding and managing medical cost issues and initiating appropriate actions.

In addition to their work at Capital Hospice, Eric has also provided sales and marketing support, community relations and guidance with comprehension of applicable federal and state regulations. Eric has also been responsible for planning and the development of logistical program activities from cradle to grave. Eric has utilised proper controls to track and manage all contracts, as well as managed / facilitated all facets of supply management activities between business units and suppliers.

Eric has also developed and implemented purchasing strategies, directed multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams in support of procurement activities and provided all training for necessary staff on policies, procedures and processes pertaining to purchasing and procurement. Eric has also been responsible for Bid/Proposal preparation, including review of the Price Proposal for RFP/RFQ compliance, negotiations of price including prime contractors and subcontractors, as well as other terms and conditions of the RFP/RFQ. Furthermore, they have drafted and revised contract templates to meet all state and regulatory guidelines.

Throughout their career, Eric has established a reputation for being an effective leader and manager. Eric has successfully managed suppliers, cost, quality, and delivery performance. Eric has also established purchasing expense benchmarks pursuant to the Organization’s initiatives and directed staff toward achieving those goals. Eric’s experience makes him uniquely qualified for their current role as Chief Executive Officer at Hinds Hospice.

Eric Klimes has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Columbia Union College, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, and an M.B.A. from Washington Adventist University.
