Darren Skolnick

Darren Skolnick is the current Director of Compliance at Hinge Health. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President, Internal Audit at Verity Health System from September 2016 to April 2019. In this role, they were responsible for providing assurance and insights to help the organization achieve its objectives. Darren also led the development of the internal audit function for the newly formed entity, focused on what matters to the organization and providing foresights to help it succeed.

From 2014 to 2016, Darren Skolnick was the Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit at Affinity Health Plan. In this role, they oversaw the daily operations of the internal audit department and directed all aspects of the department’s work.

Prior to their role at Affinity Health Plan, Darren Skolnick served as Director, Internal Audit at Iona College from January 2013 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for leading and managing a team of auditors in conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits of the college’s various departments and programs.

Darren Skolnick began their career at KPMG in January 1998, where they worked for 14 years before taking on their role at Iona College. During their time at KPMG, they held various positions including Senior Manager and Engagement Manager.

Darren Skolnick's educational career includes obtaining an MBA in Corporate Financial Management from Pace University - Lubin School of Business, a BS in Accounting from Brooklyn College, as well as various certifications from LogicGate, The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA), and NY State Education Department.
