Jason Craparo

CEO at Hio Social

Jason Craparo is the current CEO at Hio Social. Jason has a long history of fighting for equality in the business world. Jason was appointed Commissioner of the City of San Diego's Equal Opportunity Commission in March 2012 by Mayor Jerry Sanders. In this role, Jason worked to enforce public contracting regulations and administer Federal, State, and City equal opportunity laws. Jason also conducted broad outreach efforts to increase the diversity of the contracting community and provided mentorships and technical assistance to small and emerging contractors.

Prior to their work with the City of San Diego, Jason was the Site Director for Juma Ventures, a non-profit organization that helps young people transition out of poverty through education and work opportunities. Jason was with Juma Ventures for six years before being promoted to Managing Partner at Sonic Drive-In, where they worked for three years. After Sonic Drive-In, Jason went back to fighting for equality as the CEO of Hio Social.

Jason Craparo received the Roger W. Babson Award in 2014 for their Master of Business Administration from Babson College. Jason also has a Bachelor of Science in Business from The University of Arizona Global Campus and a Plant-Based Nutrition certificate from Cornell University.
