Dimoklis Despotakis PhD, MBA is a highly experienced data professional with a robust background in engineering and management. Currently serving as the Principal Consultant and Head of Data at Hippo since April 2021, Dimoklis has also held roles as an Engineering Manager and Principal Data Engineer at The Data Shed since February 2020. Previous positions include Big Data Engineer at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Senior Big Data Engineer at DXC Technology, and Senior BI Data Developer/Analyst at Alscient Limited. Dimoklis began a career marked by a PhD in User Modelling from the University of Leeds, focused on exploring diversity in digital social spaces, complemented by an Executive MBA from Leeds University Business School and a strong foundation in computer science from institutions in Greece.
