Ed Thewlis

Ed Thewlis has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Ed is currently a Director at Hippo, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they founded and served as an all-round busy body at The Data Refinery starting in 2021. From 2012 to 2023, Ed worked at The Data Shed, where they held positions as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Ed has also worked as the Head Of Mediocre Home Schooling, Lego Building, and Objection Handling in their own household in 2020. Before that, they were a Business Intelligence Manager at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays from 2011 to 2013. Ed started their career as a Business Systems Analyst at Connolly, Inc. in 2011 and later became a Senior Business Analyst at Provident Financial Group - Provident HC & Satsuma from 2008 to 2011.

Ed Thewlis attended Loughborough University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics and German. Prior to that, they studied at Bradford Grammar School from 1999 to 2001 and St. Mary's Comprehensive School in Menston, Leeds from 1994 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Ed Thewlis obtained the certification of Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2012.
