Cheryl Chan

Cheryl Chan currently serves as the Assistant General Counsel at Hippo Insurance since November 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Vice President and Legal Counsel at Swiss Re, where counsel was provided for Digital Transformations within Corporate Solutions from July 2021 to October 2024. Cheryl has held senior legal positions at Markel and Ascot Group, as well as US Corporate Legal Counsel at StarStone Insurance, which is part of The Enstar Group. An extensive legal career also features a role as Senior Associate at Gallo Vitucci Klar LLP, with prior experience at Everins Group, Hebble & Associates, PC, and summer associate positions at Citi and AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from New York University.
