Nishant Vyas

Nishant Vyas has extensive experience in data analysis and data science in the insurance industry. Nishant worked at Verisk from 2015 to 2022, starting as a Data Science Analyst II and later promoted to Senior Data Scientist. In these roles, they led the development of two insurance BI products, oversaw the entire product development lifecycle, and utilized advanced Tableau developer skills. Nishant also collaborated with the Strategy and Innovation team to deliver analytical benchmarking dashboards for P&C insurance industry clients. Before joining Verisk, Nishant worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oklahoma State University, teaching computer methods for design and analysis of mechanical systems. Nishant also held an internship position at ARC, where they developed Excel VBA applications for data cleaning and performed advanced SQL operations and data analysis. Nishant began their career as a Business Analyst Intern at India YAMAHA Motor Pvt. Ltd., where they analyzed competitors and developed descriptive reports using statistical methods and MS Excel. Currently, they are working as a Senior Data Analyst at Hippo Insurance.

Nishant Vyas completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering at Bhilai Institute Of Technology from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Management Information Systems, General at Oklahoma State University from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their academic degrees, they also obtained several certifications, including Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate from Tableau Software in October 2017, SAS Certified Advance Programmer for SAS 9 from SAS in May 2015, SAS & OSU Data Mining Certificate from SAS in May 2014, JMP Software: Data Exploration from SAS in February 2014, SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 from SAS in December 2013, and Statistical Business Analyst Using SAS 9: Regression and Modeling from SAS in December 2013.
