Sarah Barrett

Sarah Barrett has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Sarah is currently working at Hippo Insurance as the Director of MGA Operations, a role they have held since April 2023. Prior to this position, they worked at Swiss Re for six years, holding multiple roles including Vice President, Senior Product Manager, and Assistant Vice President. Sarah'sresponsibilities at Swiss Re included structuring creative insurance solutions for public entity clients, building and evaluating earthquake models for insurance purposes, and collaborating with clients on emerging geophysical hazards. Sarah also completed an external rotation with 100 Resilient Cities to assess hazard vulnerabilities. Before their time at Swiss Re, Sarah was a PhD candidate at Stanford University from September 2010 to July 2015.

Sarah Barrett completed their Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences from Penn State University from 2006 to 2010. Sarah then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Penn State University from 2009 to 2010. Following this, they attended Stanford University from 2010 to 2015 where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geophysics and Seismology.
