Previously, George held the position of Vice Chairman & CIO at Fiducia Investors, LLC, the capital markets arm of North Sixth Group, where they managed portfolio activities in North America, Europe, and Transatlantic Expansions. George also co-founded Hippo Technologies, Inc., a healthcare technology company, and served as a Co-Founder, Member, and Chief Investment Officer at North Sixth Group.
In academia, George worked as a Professor of Management at the University of New Haven, teaching courses in strategic management, multinational management, knowledge management, risk management, ESG in management, and sustainable investing. George was also involved with the Naval War College Foundation in education and research.
Before their academic career, George had a successful legal practice, working as a General Counsel and Strategic Advisor for various clients in the US, UK, and EU. Their legal expertise covered a wide range of areas, including corporate law, regulatory compliance, governance, M&A, capital raising, and international transactions.
Additionally, George served on the Board of Trustees at Wagner College and was the Co-Founder and Chair of Algorithm Innovation Fund, L.P., a hedge fund specializing in small business loans. Overall, George King has a diverse background and expertise in finance, technology, academia, and law.
George King attended Xavier High School in New York City from 1973 to 1977. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Colgate University, where they graduated with honors (cum laude) in 1981. George then went on to study at Fordham University School of Law from 1981 to 1984, earning their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Additionally, George King has obtained several certifications, including "Design Thinking: Data Intelligence" and "Human Leadership" from LinkedIn, obtained in July 2022. George also completed certifications in "Business Analytics Foundations: Descriptive, Exploratory, and Explanatory Analytics," "Business Analytics Foundations: Predictive, Prescriptive, and Experimental Analytics," and "Achieving GDPR Compliance with Microsoft Technologies," all from LinkedIn, obtained in November and October 2020.
