Mukesh Baphna

Mukesh Baphna currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering for AI Platform at Hippocratic AI since June 2025. Prior to this role, Mukesh was the VP of Engineering at Starburst, where leadership was provided for the engineering of Starburst Galaxy, an open data lakehouse analytics platform, from May 2022 to August 2025. Mukesh has also held the position of Director of Engineering at Nutanix from September 2015 to January 2019, overseeing platform development teams for the Prism multi-cloud management product. Additionally, Mukesh worked at VMware from February 2008 to September 2015 as a Senior Manager of Engineering, where team growth and operational management for the vROps platform were achieved. Mukesh holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, as well as an undergraduate degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
