Tanmay Laud

Tanmay Laud is a Senior Applied Scientist at Hippocratic AI, with experience as a Research Engineer at Megagon Labs, where responsibilities included finetuning state-of-the-art large language models for HR use cases and developing text distillation for retrieval-augmented generation. Prior roles include Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego, contributing to climate change NLP research accepted at EMNLP 2022, and as a Machine Learning Engineer at Salesforce, where a novel model interpretability framework was proposed for Learning-To-Rank models. Additionally, Tanmay built an NLP chatbot for VMware, focusing on customer query resolution via Slack. Tanmay holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
