Janis McGuffin

Janis McGuffin has over 20 years of experience in executive search, sales and operations management. Janis is currently Director of the Real Estate Practice at Hirewell, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to their current role, they were Senior Researcher & Executive Recruiter at 20/20 Foresight Executive Search from 2014 to 2020, where they were responsible for the recruitment and placement of executive and C-level candidates across all areas of real estate and higher education. From 2010 to 2014, Janis was Key Account Manager & Sales Consultant at Follett School Solutions, where they were responsible for the direct sale of textbooks, library, electronic content and hands-on classroom materials to over 1,200 accounts in Washington State, Oregon, Nevada and California. From 2008 to 2010, they were Sales Representative at TEAM Enterprises, where they were responsible for the MillerCoors portfolio of brands in the Chicago-area. Janis also served as Captain, ISR Operations Manager in the United States Air Force from 1998 to 2008.

Janis McGuffin received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1994 and 1998. Janis then went on to earn their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Organizational Leadership from North Central College between 2000 and 2004.
